Sturdi-built's Exclusive Thermal Option

Sturdi-built's exclusive Thermal Option is an addition of an inner glazing to result in a double-glazed, insulated greenhouse. May be purchased with the greenhouse or added any time in the future. Our greenhouse glazing system accommodates a variety of materials for the inner glazing—window clear acrylic, translucent flat fiberglass, twin-wall polypropylene or a combination of these materials. The insulating air space between the inner and outer glazing is 5/8”.

Together with our naturally heat-efficient wood construction, this makes a Sturdi-built greenhouse kit one of the finest, most thermally efficient greenhouses available. Using the optional 6mm Twin Wall polycarbonate exterior glazing and 4mm Twin Wall polypropylene interior glazing, an R value of about 5 is obtained—twice that available with other greenhouses.
